Biography

Jimmy Dillon was first elected to the Peoria County Board in 2006. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Marquette University and attended the Les Aspin Center for Government. A member of Plumbers Local 63, Jimmy is the Associate Director at West Central Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council.

James has been involved with township government since 2001, serving first as a trustee and then as Township Clerk in West Peoria through 2016. In 2013 Jimmy received the Charles C. Schlink Memorial Good Government Award from the Peoria Jaycees for his leadership as a Peoria County Board Member, township official, and advocate for good government.

A leader in local government, Dillon takes very seriously his role as representative and weighs carefully how policies will affect his constituents before making decisions. An avid supporter of the community, Dillon currently serves as Secretary for the Friends of Fatherless Boys and has participated as a runner in the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Fundraiser for more than 15 years, among many other service activities.
