Biography

Rachel was elected to the Peoria County Board in 2018. She is the director of physician recruitment for OSF HealthCare. She was elected President of the WeaverRidge Tallgrass Homeowners' Association, as well as a Trustee with the WeaverRidge Master Homeowners' Association. She previously served on the City of Peoria Human Resources Commission. Rachel is a graduate of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School, City of Peoria Citizen Police Academy and Peoria City/County Citizens Leadership Civic Leadership Program.

Rachel attended Illinois Central College and holds a bachelor's degree in Communication, with a minor in political science, and a master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy, from the University of Illinois in Springfield. She has been a proud member of Peoria Rotary Club-North and the League of Women Voters. Rachel serves on OSF Saint Francis Women’s Services Advisory Council. She attends Northwoods Community Church and is an active volunteer.

In 2017, Rachel was named volunteer of the year by the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR), a North American based, 2,000+ member organization. She served as co-chair of ASPR membership from 2014-2017 and recently accepted a role on the association’s strategy advisory panel. ASPR’s mission is to educate and empower in-house physician recruitment professionals to be experts in transforming health care in their communities. In 2018 she was recognized as the Illinois Central College Alumnus of the Year for her humanitarian service beneficial to society and interest in the support of education.
