Miguel A. Ceja

CASE SYNOPSIS: On Monday, July 30, 2006, former Manual High School Basketball standout, 34-year-old Howard Nathan, was partially paralyzed after a collision in the 2300 block of North University left him pinned beneath his vehicle.  Nathan and two passengers were thrown from the vehicle as the vehicle flipped onto its roof after impact.  The passengers in Nathan's vehicle were not seriously injured.

49-year-old Miquel Ceja has been indicted on two Felony counts of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence and two Misdemeanor counts of  Driving Under the Influence for the July 30th collision.  Ceja pulled into oncoming traffic from MacQueen Street colliding with Nathan's vehicle which was northbound on University.  Ceja nor his passenger were seriously injured.

CASE STATUS:  November 14, 2006, an indictment warrant was issued for Ceja's arrest, bond set at $7,500 10% to apply. On November 20, 2006 the warrant was served and Ceja was booked into the Peoria County Jail. He later posted $750.00 bond and was released. 

Ceja plead guilty to one count of DUI during his plea hearing.
