Tewkunzi E. Green, 25

 

CASE SYNOPSIS:  Montral Fleming, 29, was stabbed by his girlfriend, Tewkunzi Green in the evening hours of 6/5/07.  The stabbing reportedly stemmed from an argument over money. Fleming, who was stabbed in the chest, died early the next morning during surgery.  Green was later booked at the Peoria County Jail and charged with First Degree Murder after she turned herself in to police for questioning. Green is currently being held in the Peoria County Jail, bond set at 1 million dollars. 

 

The Jury Trial commenced on March 9, 2009 and concluded on March 12, 2009.  A Peoria County Jury found Tewkunzi Green GUILTY of First Degree murder. She faces a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 60 years in prison when sentenced May 29, 2009.
